In 1988, Autodesk released its first version of AutoCAD. That version was called AutoCAD LT and the first version of AutoCAD was the full-featured version. In 1991, Autodesk sold the AutoCAD LT software to Corel. Corel renamed it AutoCAD and made it free to download. Corel later released several upgrades to AutoCAD and renamed it to AutoCAD 2000. The first version of AutoCAD that was able to export DWG files was AutoCAD 2005. AutoCAD 2007 included a redesigned user interface. After Corel bought Autodesk, Corel continued to upgrade the free version of AutoCAD.
By 2008, Autodesk had an estimated 50,000 employees and 10,000 business customers. The company’s annual revenue was estimated to be about $2.8 billion. Autodesk’s annual revenues were estimated to be $1.5 billion. Autodesk’s revenues were estimated to be $1.7 billion in 2009.

Generate random number inside of function
I am trying to make a simple function that generates a random number from range 1 to 10 and return that number. My code looks like:
def generate():
n = randint(1,10)
return n
the problem is that the function still generates the same number. For example:

I do not understand why this is so, I mean that randint() returns an int so the function must be working and assigning it to n as an int so this means that n is different in every call. Could you explain why this is so?

The problem is that randint() returns an integer which is likely to be the same value for two or more successive calls, unless you explicitly save the random number.
Therefore, you need to save the random number in a variable:
def generate():
n = randint(1,10)
return n
This will give the results you expect.
It’s not a good idea to use randint() to generate numbers as it is a pseudorandom number generator, not a random number generator. If you want random numbers, you should use the random library instead.

You are right, n is the same for both calls because randint returns a unique integer for each call.
One solution would be to store the number in a variable (n=randint(1,10)) and then return it at the end of the function:

n = randint(1,10)
return n
