I have created asp.net application and want to control version numbers for this application dynamically.
I have created a web config file in root of the application.
In the ASP.NET app, I can successfully read this using:
Server.MapPath(« ~/appSettings.config »)
It is working fine for Development environments but when it is published onto a live server it fails to load the configuration.
Environment I am using is:
.NET 4.0
IIS 7.5
I have tried the following and none seem to be working:
