Story

In Tarnished, you play as a Disciple of the Elden Ring, one of three exceptional individuals who are selected by the Seven Goddesses from across the Land Between to become an Elden Lord. You are the first person to hold the title of Elden Lord, and so you are tasked with clearing the lands between of monsters and demons to secure a bountiful dominion for your nation.

Adventure

As you clear the lands between of monsters and demons, you must work hard while remaining vigilant. You must find the secrets behind the Elden Ring’s evolution, and learn the history of the Lands Between.

      As a fan of Tarnished, it is always a pleasure to see their work be recognized by reviewers and fans alike. Here are some of my current thoughts on the game:

      My top two favorite games at the moment are Bound by Flame and Tarnished. Both offer gorgeous and engrossing combat, intriguing plots, and beautifully written dialogue. The role-playing elements of both games are well-presented, but I have to confess that I love a good action RPG more than a good role-playing game. Tarnished has brought me back to my love of playing Daggerfall/Elder Scrolls which got me into fantasy RPGs when I was a teenager and still gaming.

      My favorite of the Dragon’s Dogma trio so far is Tarnished, as it has a much more entertaining story and combat. It’s challenging (as Dragon’s Dogma tends to be), and yet it’s the first of the games that I’m actually happy I started playing, having a decent amount of fun and thoroughly enjoying it. Most other games in the category have brought me to the verge of laughter, rage and tears.

      There is some struggle in this game with getting to know all the players characters. But once you do that, it is awesome. Having played Tarnished pre-release, I am super excited to play the final product. It is currently the best campaign in the genre. I am so excited to see where Tarnished is going to go after the beta ends.

      Tarnished is one of the best games on the Nintendo 3DS to date. Its style is so different from anything I’ve played before. So far, its story and characters are the most well written. Even the dialogue is great, though it needs to be improved a bit. A few of the dungeons are extremely difficult, and having a companion gives the game some more difficulty.

      There are some problems though. The menu system is clumsy, and it is not always clear what you are meant to be doing. Some of the puzzles are also difficult to do, which makes
