How do you use Photoshop?
When you first open Photoshop, your interface (which is relatively simple to use) starts up by default. You can click the File button on the top left corner of the program and navigate to your photos. However, you could open a new Photoshop file right off the bat.
When you open an image, Photoshop gives you the option to add a new layer to edit the image in one or more layers.
From here you can do a variety of things, including add a gradient map, crop, resize, edit the brightness and contrast, add a spot filter, lighten or darken, blemish removal, remove a portion of an image, sharpen, saturate or desaturate, and a number of other adjustments. The idea here is to manipulate the original photo into a new and different one. The goal is to adjust colors, contrast, and have a sharper, more vivid image.
You can add and move elements, and in turn move layers within a photo. You can simply drag and drop elements from one layer to another, and it all happens in real time.
There are different ways to create a photo in Photoshop. You can start with the background layer and paint. In this case, you can add a color, pattern, or gradient map. These will fill all of the layers below it.
If you don’t paint, you can add a new layer. In most cases, this is the best option to create a custom piece because you can add multiple elements on the same layer without losing the ability to manipulate it later.

Step 1: Open an image to edit.
Choose your photo.
Open the photo you want to edit.
For this tutorial, I will use a picture I took of a dog crossing the road. I took the photo on my phone.
Click the Home tab and use the Move tool to drag and place the image.
Make sure the image is cropped to fill the entire canvas.
Click on the Placeholder button at the top right of the canvas, as shown below.
Click on the New Placeholder button.
Step 2: Create a basic colour adjustment.
With the image open in the editor, click on the Brush Tool icon in the tool bar.
In the Tool Options box, click on the Colour box, as shown below.
Select the Blend if you want to apply the adjustment to the entire photo, or the Burn if you only want to change the brightness of the parts of the photo that contain shadows, for example.
Adjust the Amount or Lightness slider to darken the picture.
Click on the Eyedropper icon to select a colour from the picture.
Step 3: Find areas of colour to adjust.
With the pixels highlighted, drag the mouse across the image and click when the eyedropper changes colour.
Your mouse should now be covered with dots, as shown below.
Click the eyes of the eyedropper, located at the top right of the Colour box, to select the colour you want to adjust.
As you do this, you will notice the colour of the pixels around the eyedropper change as well. These are the pixels that will get darker or lighter when you lighten the main area.
Drag the slider to change the lightness or darkness of the area around the eyedropper.
Repeat this until you find an area of colour that you like.
In my case, I find that the top right corner will look nice.

On September 7, 1964 the petitioner was convicted of murder and sentenced to be punished by imprisonment for life. On October 7, 1964 the petitioner was brought back to Greene County on a charge of violation of parole. On December 9, 1964 the petitioner was sentenced to be punished by imprisonment for life on the parole violation sentence. After the sentence was imposed on December 9, 1964, the petitioner filed an application for habeas corpus in the Superior Court of Greene County, alleging that he was illegally restrained of his liberty on the ground that the September 7, 1964 sentence was a void judgment of conviction and that he was illegally imprisoned by the December 9, 1964 judgment of conviction in that there was no conviction on September 7, 1964. The Superior Court of Greene County passed a rule nisi and the respondent filed a traverse to the application, and the matter was referred to the superior court of Floyd County for trial, determination, and judgment, after which the superior court of Floyd County entered an order dated October 21, 1964 dismissing the application for habeas corpus and remanding the petitioner to the custody of the sheriff of Greene County for execution of the September 7, 1964 sentence.
