This game is pretty fun to play (until you get to the end). The controls are tight, the gameplay is engaging, and the presentation is crisp and clean. Despite my past negative opinions about this game, I’m going to try to add some positive words to the review.
One of the things that I appreciate about this title is that it doesn’t try to do too much. The core game isn’t as complex as a full-fledged MOBA or a fighter, but it has the basics. You play Dodgeball (sort of like Volleyball or Rugby), and you use a controller, keyboard, or gamepad to play the game. The concept isn’t new, but it’s fun. You get to see your teammates in first-person. There are several characters to choose from, and each character is different. The presentation is clean, and it’s a nice change of pace from what most games have to offer.
The same goes for the game’s general artstyle. It’s not the most original, but it has a nice vibe. The colo-retardant characters, while not the best in the world, aren’t the worst either. In the game’s defense, the presentation is decent, and it feels like a kickass action game.

Another successful meeting of the Vermont Chapter of National Association of Social Workers. There was a lovely lunch provided by Red Mountain Diner, and our meeting lasted until close to 10 PM. Kathy Stanton of St. Peter’s Hospital was guest speaker, and her remarks were stimulating and thought provoking.

Our programs for this year include:

An information meeting and refreshments on September 18th at the Maher Community Center on the Green Mountains. The theme will be “Building a New World” and local guest speakers will be experts in the topic of interest.

The fall program is a “Children’s Holiday Party” on November 21st at the Maher Community Center. We’ll be making hot chocolate, cookies, and chocolate covered popcorn balls. The theme this year is “Peace on Earth.”

A « Say No to Drugs » meeting is scheduled for November 29th at the Maher Community Center. It is a collaborative initiative of the Champlain Valley Drug Outreach (CVDO) and the Community Education Alliance (CEA).
